Tragedy strikes at families without warning or notice. For my family, last weekend brought the untimely passing of my cousin Michael.
Our biggest proponent for success or failure in life is ourselves. The
decision is up to us -- if we think we can, we will; if we think we
can't, we won't.
More than 20 years later, my father's lesson is still etched in my
memory. I'll never forget the instruction, or the verse of scripture we
memorized that night: D&C 88:119.
So, what if a guy lacks the confidence needed to ask a girl out? What if a girl snubs her date because he's intimidating?
No one is perfectly perfect. It's when we get to know someone a little more, do we find that perfection.
Let's just say I'm a recovering Facebook addict.
Look, there's a silver lining in every situation. Focusing on
encouraging things long enough, eventually we'll see the sun break
through the clouds.
