Without
a doubt, going to the vineyard was my least favorite thing to do as a
child. There
are things in life we just don't want to do. Every job has
aspects that are less than desirable.
A testimony is what gives
us peace, in troubled times or personal crisis. A testimony is what
gives us direction. There is no question that
a testimony is worth whatever the price.
Each and every year Valentine's Day comes around, I find myself staring at a new glass -- is it half full or half empty?
Often "injustices" happen on the short-track speed skating rink -- Apolo Ohno could attest to that. But it's part of the territory. We all have to take to the ice and fall now and then.
Each of us is getting older, but are we getting stronger, wiser, and building more spiritual muscle along the way?
I have seen lives wasted and destroyed by anger and resentment. I feel for these people, but honestly, I feel even
more deeply for their children.
It is very tempting to keep the fire burning until we realize who is getting burned. We all need to stop fueling the fire. The only
answer is to forgive.
I can't help but think that the trapped moments or phases in our lives
are an important part of our earthly experience, and our spiritual
tutoring.
